Each time I look at you, I’m limp like a glove and feeling like someone in love. —Bjork.

Instagram Densha Tokyo —

Art Director: Ben King
Creative Lead: Jeanne Modderman
Desiger: Malisa Kuch
Producer: Hannah May
Vendor: Studio Swine

Inspired by fantasy trains in beloved Japanese anime and films. We wanted to bring a sense of the magic into the space.

We worked with designers, Studio Swine, on an installation in our new Tokyo towers. Unlike layouts and builds of the past, the Meta and Instagram team wanted to create an installation in two focal areas of the office.

This infinity train, or better known as Densha, is inspired by an everyday ritual used by almost all residence in the city. We simplified details of the train and added our signature gradient in a horizonal manner. We worked with a videographer to mimic the sunset with dry ice and a circular orb.
My partner and I lead all creative direction, composition and material selections with Studio Swine. We managed all expectations with APAC leads, presented ideas to XFN partners and pushed our vision of experiential installations in office.

As a result we created a magestic and simple installation that honors localized practices and integrates the instagram brand into the space. This opportunity is designed for new guests and team photo celebrations.
